Ice Age Flashbacks

Hey folks! You've probably noticed we've been closed quite a bit recently. I (Sam the director of our little museum) have been snowed in and despite the ability of my wonderful jeep I dont play around with ice (I lived in a desert and a swamp for the majority of my adult life and ice and I just dont mix) I plan to try and be in starting next weekend (1/18/2025 and 1/19/2025) Did you know that during the last great ice age Missouri was on the edge of a massive ice sheet that covered our continent from from the tip of the arctic to just about the Missouri Iowa boarder! While this might sound frightening but it actually allowed the ancestors of the Native Americans to cross over from Europe via a land bridge stretching from Russia to Alaska. While we are far away from such cold climate today this recent blizzard definitely paints a beautiful picture of the power of weather! We will catch you on the weekend! Samuel A Johnson (Director of Operations)
